On July 4th, 1993, our group, the Scenic Mt. Lowe Railway Historical Committee,  along with the Forest Service put together a great Centennial Celebration at Echo Mountain above Altadena.  There were approximately 350 attendees to visit the spot, hear the speeches and see the paraphernalia of the Echo Mountain House that had opened there 100 years prior.

It was here that the "Monument" which the group constructed was unveiled by project engineer John Harrigan and Brian Marcroft.
